How to ask us for help

There is no wrong way to get in touch, and no question is too small. Here is what happens when you do.

What we can do

  • Welcome you and listen to your situation
  • Explain the steps and the documents
  • Stay with you through a follow-up
  • Offer food aid or material help, depending on what we have
  • Point you to the right service and help you reach it

What we cannot do

We would rather say it plainly than waste your time.

  • We do not give legal advice or immigration opinions
  • We do not stand in for a doctor, a psychologist or a social worker
  • We do not provide housing
  • We cannot deal with an employer, a landlord or a ministry on your behalf

In every one of those cases we know someone who can, and we point you to them.
