05Mission Healthy living

Looking after yourself, too

When everything is urgent, health comes last. You eat fast and badly, you stop moving, you say nothing about what is weighing on you. Our activities aim at the opposite: move, eat better, take a breath, and find your voice again at home.

5.1

A listening ear

You can come simply to talk. No file, no diagnosis, and it does not have to turn into a course of anything.

Many people carry alone the worry for family left behind, the tiredness of starting over, the loneliness. Saying it to someone who understands the context already lightens it.

5.2

Nutrition

Eating well on a small budget, in a country where the products, the prices and the labels are not the ones you knew, is something you learn.

Our workshops are about things you can use the next day: reading a label, comparing prices by weight, planning the week's meals, adapting recipes from home with what you find here, wasting less.

5.3

Sport and activity

Soccer, basketball, group runs, strength training, outdoor activities and hiking.

No level is required. The point is to move together, not to perform.

5.4

Family activities

Times when parents and children do something together other than homework and the shopping: outings, family workshops and seasonal celebrations.

Talking, at home and at work

Misunderstandings are expensive: between a parent and a teenager growing up in another culture, between an employee and a manager whose signals you cannot read.

Our sessions take those situations head on: how to make yourself understood, how to set a limit, how to ask for an explanation without bristling or being badly thought of.
